I met Inez Wihardjo through App Store Research. Shout out to Jonathan Kennedy for creating such a seamless marketplace for merchants to interact with app developers and sales leaders to discuss business development.

Inez has an amazing story as a Harvard Business School graduate all the way from Indonesia. The same drive and passion that lead her to graduate Harvard is the same drive she has put into Gigit.ai.

The onboarding process was very smooth and simple. They gave us access to their team through Slack and created a separate slack channel where alerts would be sent. This was a feature that I didn't notice had so much value at first. It gave me such great insight as to what customers were thinking as they shop. Their Ai would answer questions and we could see what the customers asked.

The approach they took was a bold one. They know that their software increases sales with stores, so they are willing to run an A/B test to show you how much of an increase their software can bring to the business in sales.

Due to the fact that our codebase is not the neatest, our website did not accept their app full and caused some delay in load times. But even with that, their software really did bring an increase in sales. Giving customers more information about the products they were purchasing, especially as a food business, is very useful.

Unfortunately, we made a pivot and decided to go a different direction and I wasn't able to experience the last phase of the trial, the shopping concierge.

Their software creates a shopping concierge experience that sits at the top of the collection page that is absolutely incredible. Its like merchandising on steroids. Imagine customers telling the shopping concierge what they're looking for and then the products are brought right to the customers. No more page clicking or searching. Just typing plain English to the shopping assistant and it brings them products.

One day I'll get this software back and have it in full force. There is a lot of site speed work that needs to be done before, but it's all the more exciting reasons to continue expanding my knowledge of Shopify, it's ecosystem and the various additional software companies available.
