In 2022...

I discovered Cyrus Harbin on Instagram. His message was clear. He did a tech boot camp where they trained and prepared him to land high-paying jobs in the tech industry. He mentioned that he did the Careerist program, and at the time he took the Course, it was a lot cheaper than when I took it. However, I chose Careerist over Course Careers because of the price point. If they can charge almost 10 times more, they must also deliver 10 times the value. I never took the Course Careers, so I can’t say if Careerist is 10 times better or not. But what I can say is that I believe it was worth far more than what I spent on the program because it has paid for itself 30 times over already.

What I like about the Careerist program.

Out of all the paid courses and communities that I have been a part of, Careerist was by far the most organized and structured. We were instructed by professionals actively working as Sales Engineers. We had scheduled class times and a clear path towards graduation. I was very fortunate because I also got a free Python course. One of my only regrets in Careerist was not taking that Python course more seriously. I also made a few friends with some classmates and watched as each got hired by various companies.

How has Careerist helped me?

Well, I’ve always been somewhat of a tech. I was one of those kids who took things apart and put them back together just to see how they worked on the inside. My dad, being a computer programmer, also made it easy for me to grasp the concept of computer science and web development. However, the Careerist program equipped me with new skills and computing abilities that have made finding good-paying jobs a lot easier.

I went from being an account executive to a product development manager. Then, I became a Sales and Marketing coordinator for a local MedSpa. Now, I’m the Director of Sales and Business Development for Country Life Natural Foods. Everywhere I work, I bring these same tools that I acquired back in the Careerist program with me. Advanced computing combined with AI gives me the ability to have a bigger work output, which in turn means higher pay.

Lastly, Careerist has helped me over the years by interviewing me, writing multiple articles about me(one) (two) , and even giving me cash at times. I would never have guessed that going through the program would have so many perks afterward. If you’re considering changing careers, I highly suggest meeting with one of their specialists to see if it’s a good fit.
